The original score for this piece, by Alfred Cellier, is lost so we are presenting The Carp here with a totally new and original score written especially for the Gilbert and Sullivan Archive by Quade Winter the composer-in-residence of the Ohio Light Opera Company. Quade has also written a totally new score for Thespis.
The Ohio Light Opera (Wooster, Ohio) presented the world premier of this new version of The Carp during the summer of 1999.
The vocal score is available for downloading as a single Adobe Acrobat PDF file (672K file). In addition, the midi files and text versions of the web pages are available for downloading as a single zip file for those who would rather work with them locally rather than on line.
