John Morland (1896-99)

John Morland (real name John Dixon Barras) was a baritone chorister and small part player with D'Oyly Carte touring companies in the later 1890s. His roles included Captain Corcoran in Utopia Limited (D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D"), October-November 1896; Bill Bobstay in H.M.S. Pinafore (Company "E"), July-December 1897; the Foreman of the Jury in Trial by Jury (Company "B"), February 1898; Second Huntsman in The Vicar of Bray (Company "D"), December 1898-February 1899; and Barnabas Bellows-to-mend in Haddon Hall (Company "D" again), July-September 1899.
