Soprano Beverley Milne trained at the Elder Conservatoire of Music in Adelaide, Australia, before joining the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in September 1968. She filled in as First Bridesmaid in Trial by Jury during the 1969-70 season, and in September 1970 took over the small parts of First Bridesmaid and Chloe in Princess Ida. During the 1970-71 season she also understudied Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Fleta in Iolanthe, and Ruth in Ruddigore, filling in on occasion in the latter role before leaving the Company in August 1971.
