THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Lillie Mayo (1881)
Miss Lillie Mayo was in the chorus of General Stanley's daughters in The Pirates of Penzance at the gala opening of Halleck's Alhambra, Boston, in July 1880 (a non-D'Oyly Carte production but one with Carte's blessing). She later was a Charity Girl with R. D'Oyly Carte and E. E. Rice's Second American Billee Taylor Company on tour in the Eastern United States from April to August 1881.
