Joyce Farrer first appeared in the D'Oyly Carte chorus in April 1951. In September of that year she assumed the small part of Ruth in Ruddigore, a role she would retain for the balance of her career with the Company. Her only other named part was Fiametta in The Gondoliers, a role she played in October and November 1951. Miss Farrer left the D'Oyly Carte in April 1956.
