| Marie Pineapple: | Three months ago we stepp'd aboard a great big ocean ship, |
| Mr. Pineapple: | And sail'd away to China on a little pleasure trip; |
| Marie: | The sailors knew I was a bride, which shows how cute they are, |
| Pineapple: | I felt that I could brain them when they said "He's her papa." |
| Marie: | And ev'ry day upon the deck I'd promenading go, |
| Pineapple: | Whilst I was in my cabin with the steward down below. |
| Marie: | It was a most delightful time, which passed away too soon, |
| Pineapple: | But this is but the prelude to a Chinese Honeymoon. |
| All: | A Chinese Honeymoon. |
| Pineapple: | And I am the bridegroom, |
| Marie: | I am the bride, |
| Bridesmaids: | And we are the maids who saw them tied, |
| Pineapple: | I said "I will," |
| Marie: | I took the quill And felt that I should swoon, |
| Pineapple: | Yes, I am the man who bought the ring |
| Marie: | And I am the blushing little thing Who became his wife |
| Pineapple: | And started life |
| All: | With a Chinese Honeymoon. |
| Marie: | And now at last in China we have landed safe and sound |
| Pineapple: | Where we will spend a month or two in trotting all around; |
| Marie: | And here in fair Ylang Ylang we mean to spend a week |
| Pineapple: | Where all the ladies, I am told, Are gloriously unique. |
| Marie: | You promised you would never look at anyone but me. |
| Pineapple: | Nor will I, dear, for I detest the almond eyed Chinee. |
| Marie: | Like turtle doves the whole day long we'll bill, and coo, and spoon, |
| Pineapple: | And so enjoy the raptures of a Chinese Honeymoon. |
| All: | A Chinese Honeymoon. |
| Pineapple: | And I am the bridegroom, |
| Marie: | I am the bride, |
