No. 3 - Soldier Chorus - "Here come the Soldiers."
Soldiers: | []
Here come the soldiers, With a rum tum tum tum tum! Here come the soldiers, Ev'ry human heart's a drum. Behold the great, big, strapping, glorious men! Behold the fighting, scrapping, victorious men! Here come the soldiers! When the band begins to play, Here come the soldiers! There's a cue for "Hip, Hurray!" Because we must cheer Whenever they do appear. Here come the soldiers of the king! Here come the soldiers, With a Georgie Cohan step, Here come the soldiers, With the Yankee Doodle "pep." Behold the happy, snappy musical mob, They're always dancing, prancing, They're right on the job. Here come the soldiers, With an acrobatic hop. Here come the soldiers, When the play begins to flop, You'll hear us all shout, Whenever the play's in doubt, "Here come the soldiers of the king!" |
