No. 23 - Song - Fantana and Geisha - "In my Riksha of Bamboo"
Fantana: | If you want to follow me Thro' the land of Japan so fair to see, I will take my sunshade, (It can more than one shade;) And beneath a sky of blue, By your side I will ride along with you In my riksha of bamboo. |
Geisha: | Is there room for two In your jinriksha of bamboo? |
Fantana: | If you will ride with me In my little riksha of bamboo, Then ev'ry morning we will go Where the buds of the lotus lilies blow, |
Geisha: | Where fragrant cherry blossoms grow. |
Fantana: | So come along with me in my jinrikisha. Beneath the bowers of the wild wistaria. |
Geisha: | In your riksha. |
Fantana: | And we'll go over the hills and far away Where nobody works except at play. |
Geisha: | There life is ever gay |
Fantana: | ...the live long day. Far from ev'ry thing but play We will drift away. So come along with me in my jinrikisha. Beneath the bowers of the wild wistaria. |
Geisha: | In your riksha. |
Fantana: | And we'll go o'er the hills and far away Where no one works except at play, So come with me in my jinrikisha. |
